Storming From Saffron Chapter 6Indy decided that she might as well check out the condominiums. If nothing else, it would give her a chance to practice sneaking around in slightly less serious circumstances. It wouldn't take long in any case.Storming From Saffron Chapter 6 by ~alternatum
As Indigo turned the corner past the pokemon center, she was struck by how thinly-packed the trees were. They became thicker further out, but at the edge of town they thinned out quite some distance before the paving started. This gave her a clear route to the condo's backdoor. Entering, she found herself in a thin hallway about three feet wide at most, with a stairwell crammed into the corner. The next floor was much the same, and the next. But eventually she made it up to the roof. A fence which she was on the inside of extended around one last room set on top of the building. She had to walk around to the other side of it to find an entrance.
"I know everything..." she read the sign set on the wall beside the door. It was actually written in giant, blocky letters that gave th

While she was in Routes 9 and 10, she took the chance to fight the local trainers and check out the wild pokemon. As she'd been advised, they were easy for her team to take care of, and it had given her a chance to figure out just what they were capable of.
Lapras had apparantly given up her cute growling, but literally throwing herself around the battlefield was more useful anyway. She could still shoot blasts of water from a distance, and confuse the foes with ghostly lights. Her lullabyes seemed to be proving unreliable, but the fact that they could work at all in a heated battle was impressive. In addition, Indy had finally gotten to see her starter swimming (There had been a small body of water on route 10. A lake long and thin enough to be mistaken for a river, except for the fact that it didn't flow).
Vulpix fought by spitting out small clouds of embers. She'd tried experiment
Storming From Saffron Ch 4While Indigo was recovering, she began helping Mr. Fuji with his work. He ran a volunteer Pokemon house - essentially a shelter for abandoned or injured Pokemon. Most of the villiage children helped out as well (apparantly, there wasn't much else for them to do in Lavender).Storming From Saffron Ch 4 by ~alternatum
It was a welcome respite from the high-stakes conflict she'd been wrapped up in, but she couldn't let it last forever.
"I can't stay."
"That's unfortunate, but you have your own path to follow," the old man said, "Where do you plan to go?"
"That's what I'm trying to figure out," Indy walked over to a map of Kanto hung on the wall, "Saffron should still be under lockdown. I could skip it and go straight to Celedon, but... I feel like my Pokemon aren't ready for that yet. Or I could go south over Silence Bridge..."
You would have the same problem there, I fear," Mr. Fuji interjected. "The pokemon near Fushia are quite powerful compared to the ones further north. And by necessity, so are the trainers."
Storming from Saffron, Chapter 3Indigo quickly ducked into the Underground. She'd realized that she needed to build up her resources if she wanted to stand a chance against Team Rocket. But she also didn't want to give up this opportunity: she wouldn't let them take Lavender too.Storming from Saffron, Chapter 3 by ~alternatum
She ran through the dark but straight path to Celadon. The department store there was well known as a place where nearly everything was sold. It was also a straight road from the town's entrance to the store. As long as she didn't get distracted, this wouldn't take long.
"I can't get distracted", she reminded herself, upon entering the big city and seeing yet more Rocket Members on the streets. These ones didn't seem to be causing trouble, at any rate. And she ran the rest of the way to the mart.
Indigo didn't have much money, she'd been given a little bit for the field trip, but she couldn't buy much with it. She quickly picked out a set of five pokeballs, and some discount medicine - Super potion strength but at drasticly lower prices. Tha
